big island hawaii Welcome! The Skate Park Committee of the Waikoloa Community Development Corporation has made major strides to bring a skateboard park to Waikoloa. The committee, although comprised of different members over the years, has worked diligently and tirelessly to fill the need for family recreational activities, especially our youth. We are excited to report that the County of Hawaii’s Department of Parks and Recreation has made a portion of the new Kamakoa Nui Park available for the skate park. Kamakoa Nui Park will be located at the new workforce housing development at the end of Paniolo Estates. Now as we move forward in our final fundraising efforts, we need the help of community leaders, businesses and organizations in securing the much needed in-kind donations of concrete, etc. along with the final funds so that we can have a fun and safe environment for our keiki and adults. (Yes, parents skateboard too!) Please consider giving to this very worthy cause.
